National Chiropractic Health Month
October is National Chiropractic Health Month.
With colder days coming and the days getting shorter it is a good time to talk about movement.
Chiropractic Care – the beginning
Chiropractors from Massachusetts to California put together a concerted effort to help bring chiropractic awareness to the public every October.
Back in the late 1800’s, D. D. Palmer believed in the power of the human body. He theorized “… the body has an ample supply of natural healing power transmitted through the nervous system…”
Through this belief he began the establishment and development of Chiropractic Care, a series of adjustments to the body, mainly the spinal column, to keep communication flowing between the brain and body.
When everything is connected and information flows freely throughout the body, your body can have strength, stability and success.
Strength, Stability and Success
The American Chiropractic Association (ACA) has designated the theme “Strength, Stability, and Success” for this years’ awareness.
To help avoid lower back pain and neck pain, you need stability in your body. Poor posture, sitting too long, and being sedentary can lead to these types of problems. To enjoy an active life, to be able to move more freely as you age, you must keep the body moving and in alignment.
Chiropractic Care from your Lowell Family Chiropractic center can help.
Spreading awareness – #StepsToStrength
During this national chiropractic health month help your friends and loved ones know how to maintain a healthy life and live longer to enjoy it. Help them understand:
- Proper maintenance of muscles and joints
- Prevention of lower back pain and neck pain
- Proper posture when standing, sitting or even during sleeping
- How to improve their overall balance
Tell your friends, family and co-workers that you too support movement, alignment, health and happiness.
Share your stories or personal experiences with chiropractic treatment with them directly and on social media to let them know how you are doing compared to how you were in the past.
A pain free life is a better life.
